Qunova Appoints CFO and Two Business Development Executives

The team will take on a range of responsibilities including global strategic partnerships, enterprise market expansion, and capital markets initiatives.

Mr. Hwang most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Business Officer at Nearthlab, where he played a key role in the company’s growth and IPO preparation. Prior to that, he served as Head of Investor Relations and Business Development at Synergy Quantum in the United Kingdom, helping build strategic partnerships within the global quantum ecosystem. He has also worked as Senior Investment Manager at Hanwha Asset Management, where he led growth investments and portfolio management activities, including Nasdaq-related investments and M&A exits.

Mr. Kang joins Qunova as a Business Development Executive, with more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, leading technology commercialization and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Qunova, he worked in pharmaceutical R&D and business roles at SK Chemicals and LG Chem, where he established strategic partnerships and supported the development and commercialization of innovative drug programs.
At Qunova, Mr. Kang will lead business development and strategic collaborations with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He will translate high-value drug discovery challenges into commercial opportunities and integrate Qunova’s quantum
computing solutions into pharmaceutical R&D workflows to enable better-informed decisions and accelerate the discovery of novel therapeutics.
Mr. Kyoung joins Qunova as a Business Development Executive focusing on materials science, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and optimization solutions. He has nearly three decades of experience with the Hyundai Motor Company’s R&D Division, where he served in numerous senior engineering and leadership roles. Most recently, he led Hyundai’s Computational Materials Research Team. Prior to that, he served as a Global R&D Expert in Materials Simulation and as a Senior Research Engineer specializing in FEM and CFD technologies. He will collaborate with new partners to deliver Qunova’s quantum enhanced solutions across the automotive, manufacturing, advanced materials and engineering sectors.
This expansion of Qunova’s executive team reflects the company’s strategic focus on scaling commercialization efforts while further enhancing its product offering, thereby strengthening its position as a global leader in quantum software.
