QNu Labs, BISAG-N, and IIT Gandhinagar Demonstrate India’s First 5.56 km Free-Space QKD Link
QNu Labs, BISAG-N, and IIT Gandhinagar successfully conducted India’s first 5.56 km free-space Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) link. This trial, utilizing QNu Labs’ PAT optical system, achieved a secure key rate of 230–260 bps and integrated with BISAG-N’s Vedic Kavach platform for enhanced security. This breakthrough establishes a baseline for future multi-node optical mesh networks and satellite-to-ground quantum communications.
