Postdoctoral Researcher in Theoretical Quantum Information Science (University of Jyväskylä, Finland)
The Quantum Information and Computation (QIC) team, led by Prof. Teiko Heinosaari at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Jyväskylä, Finland, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in theoretical quantum information science. The position is expected to start on 1 November 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, and will continue until 31 December 2028.
The successful candidate will contribute to the UnloQ (Unlocking Quantum Computing Benefits) joint research project involving VTT, the University of Helsinki, and the University of Jyväskylä. The project aims to accelerate the practical adoption of quantum computing by addressing key challenges such as device noise and sensitivity to disturbances, while developing noise-tolerant methods and identifying high-impact industrial use cases.
