Postdoc and PhD positions in quantum information processing at IPP
We are recruiting one PhD and one Postdoc to begin around October 2026. The successful candidates will work under the joint supervision of Marco Fanizza and Cambyse Rouzé and will join the Inria team Quriosity, located at Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Quriosity specializes in the theory of quantum information with currently 7 permanent members whose research spans topics such as: quantum computing, quantum cryptography, quantum simulation, quantum foundations and quantum learning.
The candidate will be expected to contribute to work related to quantum statistical inference primitives, foundations of quantum learning theory, learning and simulating models of complex quantum systems (including, but not limited to: continuous variables, tensor networks, Gibbs states of local Hamiltonians).
Candidate profile
The successful PhD candidate must hold a Masters degree in mathematics, computer science or physics (or a related subject) before starting the position. The successful PostDoc candidate must hold a PhD in the same subjects before starting their position.
Familiarity with topics such as quantum information, quantum learning and many-body quantum systems is welcome but not required.
Application procedure
Applicants should send the following required documents to Cambyse Rouzé or Marco Fanizza at the email [firstname].[lastname]@inria.fr
