ML4Q Workshop on Quantum Computing with Qudits
Qudits coherently encode quantum information in multiple states, promising unique new opportunities for quantum error correction, quantum simulation, and quantum computing. Many physical platforms naturally host a large number of energy levels, but incorporating them into the quantum information stack poses new challenges for experiment and theory.
This workshop will bring together experts and early-career researchers working on quantum computing and quantum error correction with multi-level systems, and researchers from related fields in order to foster exchange and stimulate discussions across disciplines and between experiment and theory.

– Physical implementations and applications of qudits in quantum simulation
– Mathematical foundations and fundamentals of quantum computing with qudits
– Error correction with qudits
