Jülich Supercomputing Centre Benchmark Evaluates Quantum Error Correction Primitives Across Quantinuum, IBM, and IQM Hardware
A Jülich Supercomputing Centre benchmark evaluated Quantum Error Correction (QEC) primitives on hardware from Quantinuum, IBM, and IQM. Quantinuum’s trapped-ion systems showed the best performance, maintaining algorithmic signal clarity on a 91-data-qubit color code. The study used a low-sampling algorithmic benchmark with a Linear-Ramp Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (LR-QAOA) framework.
