Computational Methods for Tensors in Mathematics and Quantum Physics
We are pleased to announce the workshop “Computational Methods for Tensors in Mathematics and Quantum Physics” (website) to be held at the University of Trento (Italy) on July 13-17, 2026, within the framework of the Horizon Europe MSCA Doctoral Network TENORS and sponsored also by CIRM (Centro Internazionale per la Ricerca in Matematica).
The workshop focuses on tensor methods and tensor networks in algebraic geometry, numerical computation, optimization, quantum information, and many-body physics, with a strong interdisciplinary and computational flavor.
Confirmed invited speakers:
Antonio Acin (ICFO, Barcelona)
Harm Derksen (Northeastern University),
Philipp Hauke (Trento University),
Monique Laurent (CWI Amsterdam, and Tilburg University),
Angelo Lucia (Politecnico di Milano),
Elina Robeva (British Columbia - Vancouver),
Nick Vannieuwenhoven (KU Leuven),
Frank Verstraete (U. Ghent, Belgium),
Michael Walter (Ruhr Univ. Bochum, Germany).
