⚛️ At Pasqal, quantum computing is already here. Our analog quantum computers are being deployed today, solving real-world problems with quantum advantage in the near term. But to unlock the full potential of digital quantum computing, one thing is clear: Quantum Error Correction (#QEC) is not optional. It's essential. 🧠 In the first post of our new series on Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing (FTQC), our colleague Louis Vignoli - QEC Engineer lays the foundation: → Why quantum errors are unavoidable → How analog and digital paradigms differ in managing them → Why fault tolerance is key to scaling quantum systems This is just the beginning. Stay tuned as we reveal how Pasqal is building toward FTQC - combining analog strengths with digital precision. 📖 Read Part I here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eNTUhPbR #QuantumComputing #FTQC #NeutralAtoms #QuantumHardware #DigitalQuantumComputing

About us
We build Programmable Quantum Simulators and Quantum Computers made of 2D and 3D Atomic Arrays. Neutral atoms trapped in optical tweezers and addressed with laser beams are ideal indistinguishable quantum systems to realize superposition and entanglement, at the heart of powerful Quantum Information Processing. It is a highly scalable platform, benefiting from tens of years of development which has brought some of contemporary physics' most spectacular achievements: Bose-Einstein condensation, cavity quantum electrodynamics, etc... We develop the lasers, the vacuum technology, the electronic controls and the software stack to make the individual atoms accessible to quantum programmers worldwide.

I’m pleased to share that our partners at Université de Sherbrooke (UdeS) are launching two IBM Quantum Research Chair positions at the Institut quantique with support from IBM Canada. These chairs will be leading research focused on quantum algorithm discovery, large-scale quantum hardware demonstrations, and industrial applications using our quantum systems with help from PINQ2 and Québec’s Quantum Innovation Zone, Distriq, Zone Innovation Quantique de Sherbrooke. The first chairholder is Dr. Cunlu Zhou, an assistant professor of computer science at UdeS. Dr. Zhou specializes in quantum computing, complexity theory, and quantum many-body physics. His research will aim to develop quantum algorithms, particularly for noise-robust and early fault-tolerant quantum computing. The second chair will be identified soon, and I’m excited to see how these research chairs at UdeS will facilitate useful research initiatives, and help to further deepen our relationship with the Canadian quantum computing community. We are still very enthusiastic about #quantumcomputing taking center stage at NVIDIA's #GTC25! In a first-of-its-kind moment, leaders from the world’s top quantum companies - including our CEO, Loïc Henriet - shared the stage with NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang to explore the present and future of quantum computing. Last week's dynamic, thought-provoking discussion highlighted the diversity of technological approaches, the constructive clashes of perspective, but also the growing consensus on key industry themes: 🔹 Quantum utility 🔹 Integration with classical computing 🔹 And the powerful intersection with AI 🎙️ “Quantum processors will help act as accelerators — working alongside traditional computers — rather than replacing them,” said Loïc, summing up Pasqal’s vision for the quantum-classical future.
