Our Middle East roadshow has arrived in Riyadh 🇸🇦 , where the Pasqal Perspectives on Quantum event is taking place right now. Another busy afternoon for our team to network with key local players in quantum computing and emerging technologies and identify ways to boost #quantum awareness and adoption. From exploring use cases in energy, healthcare, or ecology to bridging the gap between quantum research and its industrialization, speakers from Pasqal’s customers and partners and representatives of local academic institutions have been on stage to share their insights. No rest for the wicked: it’s been a productive weekend at Pasqal! All of us were incredibly proud to be a sponsor of the 3rd edition of the ETH Quantum Hackathon 2024 in Zurich alongside other big names in the space such as NVIDIA, Moody's, Quantinuum, QuEra Computing Inc. and Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech.    From Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th May, a multidisciplinary team of over a hundred international students took on a series of hardware and software #hacking challenges in quantum science…against the clock ⏱. The event was open to beginner-level students with basic programming skills.   After an enlightening introductory talk on #quantum computing by Philipp Kammerlander on Friday night, the on-site hackathon began on Saturday morning until Sunday lunchtime, including some very late nights and early rises 💤 🌅 Our teams at Pasqal, including Lorenzo Cardarelli, Nicolò Toscano, Gergana V. Velikova and João Moutinho, were delighted to be on hand at the Campus Hönggerberg at the Quantum Center of ETH Zürich to propose a specific challenge and to support this bright and enthusiastic group of young hackers. Congratulations again to all the winners of our Pasqal Challenge for their unrelenting efforts!   We were also proud to present Pasqal - a global pioneer in neutral atoms quantum computing - to a fresh batch of students at the Careers Fair: we look forward to following your future quantum careers!   Thanks to Quantum Engineering Commission for organizing this successful event and everyone who took part. Last month Pasqal's HQ in Massy 🇫🇷 hosted the second reunion of its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), founded at the end of 2023. Made up of a team of distinguished academic leaders, our SAB will play a key role in guiding Pasqal’s technical and scientific strategies within the rapidly evolving #quantum landscape. We are proud to count among the permanent SAB members Prof. Alain Aspect (Chairman), Dr. Antoine Browaeys, Prof. Jean Dalibard, Prof. Antoine Georges, Dr. Christophe Jurczak, and Prof. Nicolas Treps.   At Pasqal we are committed to advancing the frontiers of quantum computing and our SAB stands as evidence of this dedication.
