PRESS RELEASE — SEALSQ Corp, a company specializing in semiconductors, public key infrastructure, and post-quantum technology hardware and software products, announced plans to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia. Partnering with its parent company WISeKey International Holding and Saudi-based Juffali Group, through their joint venture WISeKey Arabia established in 2019, SEALSQ intends to support the Kingdom’s digital transformation and cybersecurity developments in alignment with Vision 2030.
SEALSQ and WISeKey are gradually introducing a range of technologies tailored to Saudi Arabia’s needs. Key initiatives include the deployment of WISeSat.Space, WISeKey’s low-power satellite solution designed for real-time IoT data processing in remote areas. It uses quantum-resistant encryption to ensure end-to-end security for critical data. According to the release, by lowering the barriers to satellite communication, WISeSat.Space also makes advanced satellite services more accessible for businesses and government projects and its scalable design may support a wide range of applications, including environmental monitoring, smart cities, and supply chain optimization.
SEALSQ and WISeKey are also collaborating with Hedera to leverage its enterprise-grade distributed ledger for blockchain-based applications. Hedera’s distributed ledger aligns with The Hashgraph Association’s collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Investment Association to launch a $250M DeepTech Venture Studio. This initiative supports startups in blockchain, AI, IoT, robotics, and quantum computing.
The DeepTech Venture Studio, funded by $50M from The Hashgraph Association and $200M from the Saudi Ministry, provides resources for innovation-driven startups. WISeKey Arabia will act as a trusted technology partner to provide these companies with secure and scalable solutions.
SEALSQ and WISeKey’s efforts align closely with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of supporting innovation, enabling digital transformation, and economic diversification. These initiatives complement projects such as the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Saudi Arabia and the Quantum Economy project.
As reported in the release, Carlos Moreira, CEO of SEALSQ emphasized the significance of the collaboration, stating “Our commitment to Saudi Arabia extends beyond cybersecurity. By introducing groundbreaking technologies like WISeSat and collaborating with key partners such as the Juffali Group, Hedera, and The Hashgraph Association, we aim to empower the Kingdom’s businesses and government with the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.”
