Postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory at UNIST, South Korea
We are hiring postdoctoral researchers specializing in mathematical theory of quantum information. The successful candidates will work in the theory group of Seok Hyung Lie (https://qit.unist.ac.kr/) at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in South Korea.
There are currently 2 positions on two research projects:
-Enhancement of Quantum Metrology Based on Time Correlation Operators
-Hybrid quantum resource theories for robust quantum catalysts
Therefore we encourage candidates who have backgrounds in the following keywords to apply:
-Quantum resource theories(entanglement, coherence, athermality, magic, etc.)
-Quantum resource catalysis
-Quantum temporal correlation
-Quantum Bayesian inference or retrodiction
-Composite resource theories
-Quantum metrology
Candidates should have a PhD in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science specializing in quantum information or computation.
The positions may start in 2026 and last until December 31, 2027 with possible extension up to December 31, 2028. The yearly salary is in the range of 50K-60K USD with additional budget for travel and equipment . The positions come with Korean governmental health insurance.
