Physicists use ‘electron correlations’ to control topological materials
Topological states have stable, immutable features of great interest for quantum computing and communications, and physicists from the United States and Europe have now discovered how to switch a topological state on and off. The control is made possible by strong electron correlations, which create extreme responsiveness.
