Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards – Quantum Computing (PhD & Postdoc)

Opportunity: CIRTA – Quantum Computing (PhD & Postdoc) 🇨🇦

The Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards (CIRTA) are a new Tri-Agency initiative to recruit outstanding international PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to Canada.

Funding
• PhD: $40,000/year for 3 years
• Postdoc: $70,000/year for 2 years

We are inviting expressions of interest for nomination to CIRTA in the following research areas:
• Quantum algorithms
• Quantum Hamiltonian complexity
• Quantum error correction
• AI × Quantum Computing

Successful applicants will be co-supervised by Dave Touchette and Cunlu Zhou at Université de Sherbrooke, working at the interface of quantum computing, complexity, and quantum information theory.

These awards are highly competitive and intended for candidates with a strong research track record.
