ICTK and Jiran Security Partner on Post-Quantum Cryptography Migration
Insider Brief
- South Korean quantum security company ICTK has signed an MoU with Jiran Security to jointly support post-quantum cryptography migration and cryptographic asset discovery.
- The Q-BRIDGE framework will cover cryptographic asset identification, quantum vulnerability analysis, post-quantum trust infrastructure, field validation and system migration.
- ICTK will provide PUF-based hardware security and PQC infrastructure, while Jiran Security will lead diagnostics, consulting, client engagement and business operations.
South Korean quantum security company ICTK (KOSDAQ: 456010) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with information security firm Jiran Security to jointly work on post-quantum cryptography migration and cryptographic asset discovery, Business Korea reported.
Jiran Security offers email, document, and mobile security solutions along with malware threat response, and counts more than 6,000 clients across South Korea’s public, financial, enterprise, and education sectors. The company’s proprietary Crypto Discovery platform evaluates an organization’s cryptographic assets and vulnerability exposure to support migration to post-quantum standards.
The partnership, named Q-BRIDGE, is intended to build a complete business model suited to the quantum computing era. The framework walks organizations through five stages: identifying cryptographic assets, analyzing quantum-related vulnerabilities, deploying trust infrastructure built on post-quantum cryptography, validating that infrastructure through field testing, and carrying out full system migration.
Division of Responsibilities
Under the agreement, ICTK will concentrate on security hardware that combines post-quantum cryptography with a hardware root of trust built on physically unclonable function technology (PUF). The company will handle design, supply, and integration of certificate authorities, key management systems, hardware security modules, and VPNs, while also managing interoperability, security verification, and technical support going forward, the source reported.
Jiran Security will take charge of overall business operations, including planning, client engagement, and joint project bids. The company will also lead diagnostic and consulting work, using its Crypto Discovery tool to assess assets, evaluate risk, and recommend migration steps.
Together, the two companies plan to develop post-quantum migration roadmaps, run proof-of-concept field tests to check interoperability and performance, and submit joint proposals for government and public-sector research and development projects, according to Business Korea.
Executive Statements
Kiyong Kim, Head of ICTK‘s Solution Development Division, said in a statement cited by the outlet: “By integrating our PUF-based Hardware Root of Trust with Jiran Security’s diagnostic and consulting capabilities, we can offer an all-in-one solution that addresses the practical migration challenges organizations face. Through this agreement, we aim to deliver tangible business results in the emerging PQC migration market.”
Sangjun Lee, CTO of Jiran Security, added: “The first step in PQC migration is accurately auditing an organization’s current cryptographic assets and identifying priority targets. Partnering with ICTK enables us to build a comprehensive framework that connects initial risk assessment directly to actual PQC implementation and verification.”
