Senior postdoctoral position in quantum error correction
We offer a full-time senior postdoctoral position in the theory of quantum error correction and fault tolerance. Our group has a strong international profile in this area and offers a unique culture of scientific exchange, lively discussion, and intensive blackboard collaboration. Possible research topics include
- the exploration of new quantum error-correcting codes, including qLDPC codes,
- new approaches to fault-tolerant quantum logic,
- efficient decoding algorithms, and
- questions at the interface of quantum error correction and quantum many-body physics.
The position offers substantial academic freedom, allowing the successful candidate to pursue their own research interests within the broad scope of the project.
The position is connected to an ERC Advanced Grant and to several projects within Germany’s quantum science initiative, including the PasQuops programme. It also offers numerous opportunities for collaboration with leading quantum technology companies such as IQM, Iceberg, planqc, and Riverlane, to name a few.
The postdoctoral position is offered on the German public-sector E13 pay scale. Previous relevant work experience, including experience acquired during the PhD, can be taken into account when determining the salary level within the pay scale.
