PhD position in tensor networks for quantum simulations
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate for a fully-funded 4-year PhD position in tensor network simulations of strongly correlated quantum many body systems that parallel similar efforts with ultracold gases quantum simulators. The candidate is expected to have MSc in physics plus strong numerical and analytical skills.
The position is open in the Quantum Many Body Theory group at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków – the oldest higher education institution in Poland established in1384. The town is a cultural center, home to many annual music and arts festivals.
The principal investigators are Prof Jacek Dziarmaga and Prof Marek Rams. Our most relevant recent publications include Science 388 (6743), 199-204 and arXiv:2510.04756.
